The areas I felt I did well on during the CAHSEE was primarily the writing and grammar section of the CAHSEE because I felt as if I had a very strong understanding of the content that was given to me and I easily went through the problems. When I was faced with a problem I didn't understand at first (primarily in math) I tried the best of my ability to solve the problem with the knowledge I could remember from my middle school years. If I still didn't remember I would make an educated guess with the information I already had. A habit of a mathematician I used during the CAHSEE was being confident, patient, and persistent because taking a test could be very nerve-wrecking and it could get very boring. I had to be confident and take the test one question at a time in order to not crash. At the end of the test, I really wanted to talk or move around but I had to be patient and try to relax/draw. I feel like I have to refresh upon percentages again because in the beginning, I was very confused and didn't remember what I had to accomplish. I began experimenting with what I knew and they worked on some of the problems, but then when a variable was changed, it got more confusing.
