Description:
Ruther is a superhero who is defined by his grey skin, silverish, slick hair and metallic body which is undressed but no identifying factors to whether he is a man or woman . He is unaffected by air, water, and even acid which makes this superhero much more resistant than most athletes. Ruther was found by a Swedish Chemist named Jons Jacob Berzelius and Russian Chemist Gottfried W. Osann in the year 1828, who both found Ruther as a newborn from leftover residues in Platinum Ore. However, Berzelius was skeptical of the existence that the living platinum was truly alive and decided he was going crazy and put Ruther back where he came from. Later in the year 1844, in Kazan, Russia, Karl K. Klaus repeated Osann’s work to prove the rumour of the so called “alive” platinum. Karl K. Klaus did in fact find Ruther once again but Ruther was much older and matured, he looked to be in his teenage years. Of course Ruther was a new, natural element and wasn’t exactly the same as palladium, rhodium, or osmium. Klaus took Ruther (who was cooperative and could understand basic sign language), and decided to test on him for the sake of science purposes. Klaus used a lengthy process to obtain the salt, ammonium chlororuthenate, from which he could isolate Ruther and identify his properties. Once completed, Klaus took in Ruther as his son but was diagnosed with cancer very early on after meeting his adopted son. Ruther decided to go into hiding in the Ural Mountains of Russia where he would not be in contact with anyone, and not hurt anyone. He lived there for a long time (125 years) where he would try to kill himself with no luck. He eventually was found again in 1969 by American Pilots who contained Ruther, and flew him back to the United States where further testing would resume. He did in fact, cause cancer and was a deadly weapon, which the United States would use to help them fight in the Vietnam War. He was equipped with a titanium set of armor to help contain himself, which was easy to disassemble and assemble. He was deployed with the Marine Raiders and supported them by carrying wounded marines, shooting the enemy, and even disassembling his armor and ransacking villages where he would run into vietnamese bunkers beating them to death with his platinum hands. He was eventually captured by the vietnamese in a tubular like glass cage that he could not punch out of and was shot up into space towards the sun, where he met his fate.
5 Facts (D):
1.) Ruthenium is a transition metal and is considered very rare.
2.) Ruthenium is the only group 8 element to not have 2 electrons in its outer shell.
3.) When added to Titanium, Ruthenium causes a corrosion-resistant property.
4.) Ruthenium is the 74th most common metal on earth.
5.) Only about 12 tons of Ruthenium is extracted annually.
Superpowers (E):
1.) When added to Titanium (Ruther’s Armor), Ruther is corrosion resistant, meaning he cannot be affected by weather.
2.) Ruther cannot be melted by fire or acid. His body can even withstand molten lava up to 2250 degrees celsius.
3.) Ruther has a completely Ruthenium covered body, meaning his kicks and punches are brutal, and if he has intent, will kill you. He can also not be hurt, tortured, or undernourished due to the fact that he has no nerve endings and does not have a stomach to eat/digest food.
4.) If there was another hero made of platinum, such as Ruther, he would be able to connect bodies with him/her to produce electric contacts with extreme wear resistance.
5.) Can use his natural gases to create irritation in lungs, eyes, and nose to organic beings.
