1. I believe my group and I all deserve A's because of our great use of communication and effort in class. We communicate greatly and I believe communication can make or break a group because of how organized everyone will be. For example, Jasmin needed help on starting the cover to our watershed magazine and I decided to start watercoloring and she completed the remainder of the cover on her own. My role is the farmer in our group and I am responsible for studying about different life cycles of animals and how farmers grow crops in California. I work on multiple art pieces throughout our group, mostly on art pieces that have more importance than others in terms of due dates. I also like to help group members who are struggling with certain areas in their art pieces so they are able to continue without having to be stuck for an extended period of time.
2. I have definitely pushed myself to stay on topic, even though it is very tempting to talk to others, I do keep in mind that if I screw off during the class time I am given, I will end up with more stress-driven work, rather than beautiful work. I feel as if this course makes me strive more for perfection but, perfection in my own eyes. This means that work that I have worked on very hard on, but doesn't look good to others, builds growth to me, to show which path I should choose for my next draft. This can relate to my writing in Humanities, because writing is very personal and my writing may flow in my mind, but in someone else's head, may be extremely confusing.
3. I see a big growth in my patience for art because I am one of those people who like to work very efficiently and quickly, but art is a whole other subject where you have to give it your all and create 1000 feelings through imagery, which requires a lot of patience. In school, I have definitely learned to start quickly and start early because work easily stacks up and throughout my freshman year I could easily pull a Thursday night homework session for all my classes. Throughout sophomore year, I have easily discovered that if you get your work done quickly, you will have lots of stress free nights. Especially going into junior year, I find that this skill is a very good one to have.
4. Specific plans I plan on to keep using are to not procrastinate during work because that easily stacks up as I said earlier before. I also want to maintain my 4.0 grade average if possible by the end of the semester and year by checking Edmodo frequently and often. My last goal will probably be to have a more "safe" environment when painting because there has been instances where I have spilled a little paint on a draft, which took half an hour on average to fix.
5. I honestly feel as if the college-type setting of a workplace is a great way to get tasks accomplished because you can freely chat with your group on what needs to be complete. This type of work-setting is also beneficial to the instructor because he/she gets to know who is on task and who isn't based on work quality and communication. Overall this is my favorite class, especially after math because you get a breather and are able to work at your own pace.
